my DSL connection sucks |
The network seems to be losing packets. I often have to issue requests for
a web page twice, because nothing happens the first time. For downloads of
very large files, I actually have to run a concurrent network access (e.g.,
run "ping" of some remote IP address once a second for as long as the
download is expected to take) in order for the download to complete.
