Good photo. I love this Picaso thing.// but actually, sometimes my
captions don't 'save'. or one caption will stay with 5 photos. Wonder
what's up with that?

Dunno. I just started using the Google/Picasa photo site and haven't tried
using the caption feature yet.

I love those butterfly houses. There was a traveling butterfly exhibit that
was at zoo several years ago. It was a wonderful exhibit with butterfly
flitting all about us. Luckily for my picture taking it was a bit cold that
day so they sat still long enough for me to take a few pictures.
When I was growing up, butterflies were very common around here. Now they
are very rare. About the only place I can see one is at the zoo.

we get more moths than butterflies ,
but in the catapillar season ,
the catapillars that become swallow tails are everywhere ,
i hate going in the car ,
cause you know you're squishing them ,
even on my bike they're hard to miss ,
its a field day for the birds though ,
and the swallow tails live about 3 weeks and die ,
then there's dead butterflies everywhere for a while

You reminded me, we got a moth upstate once, they called it a 'Luna
Moth' (no kidding) and I snapped a polaroid of it(which I don't have),
it was attracted to the light...the thing was about 6 inches long and
as thick as a bird, it looked like a swallow. That's not the same as
your 'swallow tail', is it? This is strictly a nighttime creature.

right after the catipillars is when baby birds are hatching ,
then comes the dew worms ,
another all over the place after a rain ,
then the grasshoppers , and after that ,

There's one in St. Louis. You are among the butterflies, its surreal.
They fly in flocks or groups of 3 to 4 a lot and will land on you. You
have to be very careful and you exit into a mirror room where you
check yourself for hangers on...
