it wouldn't authorize me ,
just kept asking me to ,

Did it just start working again? Maybe it was a glitch on their end.
Every once and a while, mine won't authorize or it will take a long time
to authorize and time out and I have to restart slrn.

i used the time to update my anti virus ,
and when i finished that it was working again

probably , but i usually get a 718 error when they do that ,
oh well , who cares , its on now
