well i was just talking about not seeing bears here until april

I like hearing that though, and the bears know that an easier snack
is probably availble in the hustle and bustle of a logging camp.
Speaking of that, have you ever seen one of those machines built on

a

trackhow house that grabs a full tree, cuts it, de-limbs it and can
stack it right on a truck in under 30 seconds? Those things are
incredible to see in action.

two of the worlds largest mills are in my town ,
i've seen things on the backs of rigs that i still have no idea what
their use is

It's funny to pull into truckstops when those things are being shipped
and seeing the interest that those things garner. Everything stops

and

everyone mosies over to take a gander.

the stuff that gets me is the oil rigging stuff ,
i can never figure out what those parts do ,
things so big the truck has a pilot car in front and behind

They have what are called "small" rigs here. I have a friend that used
to move them from one loaction to another. They'd double-truck them with
a couple of pole trucks. It's really kind of neat to see, especially
when they take a corner. One truck is backing up all the way. I've seen
pictures of them moving some huge drillings rigs in Saudi Arabia with
four and five trucks. That is a marvel to behold.
