My son has a habit. |
He sorts his coins by size when going to buy something. Can't imagine
who he takes after. Is this OCD?

my van has a beverage holder that also contains little slots for coins. i
assort them by monetary value. is this OCD?

his mother is quite happy with a fistful of unassorted coins, and files
things apparently at random. I arrange my filing and magazines in neat
piles. My books get sorted by size within subject. Novels are arranged
in alphabetical order, when I'm up for it. Everything in its order, and
in its place.
At least I don't get upset when someone takes a book off the shelf,
though I do get edgy in case they put it back in the wrong place.

That depends... does he feel like he's going to freak out if he isn't
allowed to sort them?
Coins are different sizes for the very reason that it makes them easy to
sort... sounds like the implementation of a common function to me.
