Time evolved and the teens of the world wanted more blood and guts and less
cutesy, sooo those types of movies wouldn't make near enough money in the
theaters, but you're right I wish they "had" made more like them to enjoy
now.

Napolean Dynamite qualifies a little bit, no?
Harold and Kumar do White Castle was sort of nerdish, too.

Yea, but no science or technology. I thought it was hillarious though,
especially because I got al lthe subtle Idaho jokes. My cousin lived in
Preston, and it's really like that! I've been in a lot of those places.
I like the montage in Manhattan Project where he builds the device, and
the part in Wargames where he's at the big terminal in the NORAD office.

Did you like Hackers?

I like all the previous movies mentioned, esp Wargames, and Hackers was
okay...but only okay. But here's a thought...did my advancing age and
1-2 years up to my elbows in electronic industry ruin my enjoyment?
:-/ Copacetic But I have enjoyed The Fantastic Four and March of the
Penguins, esp through my childrens' eyes.
Mostly I'm a Adverture-type-thriller person! Copacetic

NORAD isn't represented very realistically in the movie though. It looks
good for a movie set, but the real place is very space constrained.

Yee, I know. It would be really cool to have a 32" terminal that spoke
though. The most unrealistic government office would be the CTU on 24.
It's not safe to have a whole building with dim lighting. What would
OSHA think?

I just want the infinite zoom in ability for every picture.

I thought The Matrix was pretty lame. Full of plot holes and mistakes.
Not funny at all either. Now, if they had laid out the code for the
Matrix, that might be thrilling.

For the laymen I loved it, one of my all time favorite movies. I own all
three. I liked 1 and 2, 3 was a bit disappointing though.

The other thing about The Matrix that I don't like is the people who say
they wrote it. When in reality, one of them was working for a studio,
and a movie treatment came in called "Third Eye". They stole the
treatment and wrote a trilogy. The original writer sued them, and
settled out of court for a few million dollars.
