'Where to watch birds in Tenerife.'
We have a holiday booked. I have to get on a plane, go abroad, and drive
on the wrong side of the road, since my wife and sister-in-law certainly
aren't going to. Wynne would love to try, but that's another fight
altogether. (I wonder what the legal age is in Spain.)
Better check my stocks of diazepam.
Now, is our luggage allowance enough to pack two telescopes and tripods,
and do we need a new bag to fit them in - mine's pretty hefty.

The opinions given above may be mine. They might also
just be what I feel like saying right now, okay?

(While you're there, remember NOT to call Canarians "Spaniards". They
mostly will very much not appreciate it. Nor calling the place "Spain".
This is a crazy country full of crazy people)

Like calling Shetlanders Scottish? But presumably the Canarians speak a
version of Spanish, or shouldn't I even bother learning 'Hi there, fill
up the tank, please, and, whatever you do, don't look under the bonnet!'
?

:D (you're going to rent a car locally, aren't you? it should make
driving on the wrong side easier - besides how much is having your car
carried abroad?)
Sort of like your example. They call peninsulars "goths" (in an
unflattering way).
You'll be OK with a regular phrase-book. That place is an attractor
basin for Britons, so you might not even need it...
