Who are y'all?
Anyone on meds?
In couseling?
I'm lisa, a 35 year old special ed teacher, and have DXed with bipolar II. I
take Trileptal, Wellbutrin & Buspar for it, and am kind of getting to be
okay.

im new here too .... I love it here!
im 23 .. doing my MBA ... have spent the last 8 years wondering whether I
should get councelling or not. I get insane mood swings .. like bouncing
all over the place happy to wanna kill myself sad within a period of a day
sometimes. Not on any meds .. though sometimes I wonder if I should.
Having a good week mood-wise .. despite being nearly blown up, literally!
In fact .. that has really cheered me up .. the kind of .. "wow, I never
noticed the wind has a symphony of its own!" kind of happy about life the
last couple of days. Here's hoping it stays that way!

for almost 2 years now.
i'm glad to hear that you're getting better. welcome again to

hi welcome to the group.
i'm elegy. i'm on copious amounts of caffeine. not in counseling. (i
have been. i've also been on prozac.) i'm 25, work nights as a vet
tech, and have too many animals. long involved history of depression,
abuse, self-injury, blah blah blah but pretty much on an even keel
most of the time lately.

not at the moment. well, not antidepressants anyway. bunch of other
meds though (diabetes, thyroid, cholesterol, blood pressure)

In couseling?

not at the moment. when I moved away from my all time favorite
therapist I just didn't have the heart to try to find a replacement
for her. so I guess I don't really need right now anyway.

Welcome to planet depression & well done for getting on a med combination
that works for you. From my own experience I know that this can be an art as
well as a science. As for councillors, apologies for being sceptical but the
ones I've so far met are the most f***ked up people I know. Most of them are
only counselling because they're living in denial. Depending on a person's
point of view you can take any unhappy event, exaggerate it and put it in a
catastrophic context.
