[NEWS] Investors allege insider trading at biotech firm |
Last modified June 22, 2005 - 12:25 am
HOUSTON, Texas - Three securities law firms have filed federal suits
against Houston-based Cyberonics, alleging company insiders sold about
$2 million in stock last year while failing to disclose negative
information to investors.
Cyberonics makes and sells a pacemaker-like medical device to treat
epilepsy. For the last year it has been on a Wall Street roller
coaster as it has tried to gain regulatory approval to market the
so-called "vagus nerve stimulation" therapy to treat severe
depression.
Cyberonics officials declined comment, saying the company was in a
quiet period.
