Ode to Junky |
there once was a boy named Junky
who sometimes called himself Slunky
a clinker from birth
he gave his parents no mirth
his face oft in contortion
had his folks regret no abortion
because Slunky you see
had not even the sense to pee
even though Slunky had nary a special feature
they were willing to accept this creature
from what mom had read, Slunky was sick in head
and she knew would come a day of dread
and come it did for the stupid kid
when one day Slunky, in search of a special treat
instead of ma's went for pa's teat
pa then said ENOUGH I've had it with his *****
and that's how Slunky became an obit

Patriot, it has an odd rhythm and cadence, but i enjoyed it, particularly
the last verse. i hope that Slunky isn't too offended. i'm glad there are
several depressed poets here.

I don't think he can decide if he's flattered or offended,
but what's new.
It took me less than ten minutes, and I was laughing nearly
the whole time. I think ol' klunky's gonna miss me when I
leave. I really do plan to move along, but it feels so warm
& soft here. Depressed people really are peachy folk.
