OH MY GOD! (work stuff) |
I'm gonna faint !
This guy that I worked with for a little bit about 3 years ago, who liked
some stuff I do... left the company 2 years ago... to work for a land
developer....
He has several projects, one being a snazzy development of 3000 units, and
they need 3D presentations...
So the guy remembered what I do, called the place where I worked... They
told him I went on my own, gave him my phone #... He tracks me down...
Hi, remember me... I have this project and I know you're about the only one
who knows how to do this, let's get together next week and discuss the
project... I know you can dazzle them... They're going to need the whole
project modeled in 3d, still shots, panoramas animations, etc etc...
We're talking upwards of $40,000 worth of work.
This always happens, as soon as I go on my own, people hear about it and
track me down!!!

It's so exciting!
I haven't even had a chance to start advertising yet, and the work is
pouring in.
This week I'm working all my waking hours on one project for my old
company...
Have a meeting lined up with another co. as soon as I finish this, and then
this phonecall.
It'll keep me afloat for the rest of the year, and then some!
I haven't even lifted a finger to market yet.
I have this saying, from the last time around I worked for myself, I just
have to think real hard about where the next project will come from, and
someone calls me.
Maybe it's telepathy ;)
