An X-basher:
1.) When you talk about X, all you talk about are bad things.
2.) When you talk about bad things, all you talk about is X.
3.) You talk about X disproportionately to it's overall importance
relative to anything else on the planet that there is to talk about.
------------------
Here's an example:
http://www.aboutkenpangborn.com/
1.) Nothing nice is said about Ken Pangborn. Don't know the guy, but
it's possible there may be some positive qualities about him. Even if
the overall rating for Mr. Pangborn is "creep", I'm sure he has
SOMETHING positive about him. Even Hitler was good with (Aryan) children.
2.) The guy putting up this website follows Mr. Pangborn around on
soc.men and other usenet groups. Anything bad mentioned about anything
else is steered back to this guy's favorite topic: talking about how the
bad thing relates to Mr. Pangborn.
3.) The relative importance of Mr. Pangborn to anyone with a real life
is a bit suspect. The guy putting up this website could alternatively
simply ignore Mr. Pangborn on the newsgroups. He's put a lot of energy
and time into this site, I believe it's been up maybe 4 years? It's
kind of...pathetic.
Simple, no?

Hi,
He has made it his mission in life to protect an unsuspecting public
from Ken. It probably started out as just a heads up. Then OCD sets in
and all bets are off. The sad thing is he doesn't know he has crossed
over.
I have someone in my life that I think about way to much. ( sister)
Its unhealthy, I know. Somewhere in the recesses of my mind I think I
need to be vigilant. To keep one step ahead of her. Other
option/resign from the family. I also think I will happen upon an
answer. Yeah right.
aren't you glad we cleared up that whole gym thing for you. jill

that's the way I am, paticularly after I drink coffee... when I don't
drink coffee, my thinking can be fairly clear, but when I drink caffeine
my thoughts get really, really obsessive... I'll think about people,
conversations, events, things people said to hurt my feelings... and
it's very hard to get out of these thought patterns...
It's like the following story which I read in high school, I can
definatly relate to it:
