One good thing happened....a festivus miracle maybe |
A couple weeks ago, maybe 6 weeks...my drummer's husband told me that
his mom was in a nursing home. He doesn't like to go see her, it's a
title 19 deal....the mom is losing it. He can't take seeing her. We
were talking about who she was, and she had been a jazz pianist, I
think she played during the war with bigshots. Artie Shaw, his name
came up.
So I figure....buy her a piano....I DID'NT figure on having a woman
with no resources, like title 19 commands....to receive a piano, so
when I sent her one, it was put in the closet by a kind janitor and I
apologized to the son for not sending it to him.
I just got a call..."listen to that!" I hear. It's the drummer,
husband too with Elizabeth(the mom)....she's in the background,
playing the keys in her nursing home room.
"Brian says hi." "Hi." it sounded like a kid.
She's playing it, sounded great, she's happy, my friend and her
husband are grooving....
I fucking love this. I only need one Godshot occasionally to make me
happy.
thank You Lord.

A couple weeks ago, maybe 6 weeks...
I've often heard of the happy couple getting married in church
and the "couple" turned out to be six people.....

Yeah,It was , turns out, a really dreaded day for them to go see the
mom, they are back now....went great.......and it turned into a
spiritual experience....nursing homes do that.
