Object: One good thing today
Today I was absolutely good for nothing. My husband had asked me to go to
Wal-Mart and clean part of the house. (He would do it himself if I let him
but I always tell him I'll do it but never do.) Anyway, all I wanted to do
was sleep and veg. He called several times to see how I was doing and
actually stopped by twice. Each time, I felt more and more pressured to
"snap out of it" but still did nothing. I was finally able to go to
Wal-Mart and pick up the things we needed. He called my cell when I was on
my way home and told me that he appreciates everything that I do. I asked
him where that came from and he said that I had looked "depressed" when he
came home. DUH! *laugh* At least he appreciates what I do (which isn't
much at this point).

you should give yourself credit
where it's due, and take it
when it's given
sometimes, someone else sees that we
are doing well under the circumstances
whereas we just see the circumstances

maybe we should all do that
lotsa todo lists so that a
combined todo list
can be compiled
:)
better think about that one

LOL! Sounds like a good idea. We could all reward ourselves with a nice
dinner when we've completed most of the list.

actually, i was suggesting we all put up lists here on the newsgroup and
then combine them into one big mega todo list and that way, it will look so
scary it will all be left where it is - on the list. If nothing else, at
least the list will be done
todo list
#1 - do a todo list
#2 - enjoy a nice dinner
the trick with these things is to keep them as short as possible, so they
don't look like too much work

well, only if it provides *productive* pressure. Not negative
pressure.
Sometimes I can handle a to do list. Sometimes I can't.

That's true. If I wrote down EVERYTHING that I need to do, it would only
serve to remind me of how much I am not doing.
