One last day with my best friend... |
before i head back to texas tomorrow. it's been such a nice visit...i
hate for it to end!!!
we're going shopping in a little while. the sales right now are
huge! yay!!!
on wednesday, we went and saw No Reservations. very good movie. a
chick flick for sure, but quite enjoyable. i love catherine zeta
jones. i don't know the guy who played in the movie, but he was cute
and funny. :)
tomorrow, erin and i will be on the road for a good 9 hours. bleh.
but it's time to get back home. school starts on monday, and
preschool starts the week after.
reality, here i come!!!

she's a CPA, so we usually meet up the april weekend after the 15th to
celebrate. and then we get together once during the summer with
kiddos

the sales were beyond fabulous. dillards was having 30% off on top of
already 50% off prices, so i picked up oodles of clothes for me *and*
erin, and at bargain basement prices! i got some GREAT STUFF!!!!!

I know it was a trip to me to realize it was him, there is only one
other actor where it was half way thru the movie before I realized who
it was, gary oldman. It is rare that someone can disappear
completely inside a character, jill

That happened to me when I watched Blow, with Johnny Depp.
I knew it was Johnny, of course, but his characterization was just so compelling
that I couldn't help seeing George Jung.
I actually ended up walking out on the ending of the film because I so badly
wanted him to break free of his criminal life, and I could see he wasn't going
to do it, and with about 5-10 minutes left before the credits, I got so damn
made at George that I called him a "fucking *****" and left the room.
Normally I distinguish quite well between reality and "the movies", but damn,
Johnny was good in that film.

Aaron Eckhart. His best screen performance IMO was as Nick Naylor in

He was also in The Core, and AFIK his first big role was in Neil Bute's IN The
Company Of Men, where he was (or so I've been told) excellent.
He's very attractive, that cleft chin and all, but what I like is his acting
skills, they're what gets better and better, kinda like Henry Fonda and Johnny
Depp.
Lest anyone think I'm sexist, I must say that there are also actresses who have
the same kind of effect on me: I love watching how they develop their acting
chops over time. Scarlett Johannson, for one.
