I'm getting sick of all the remakes also. It seems like half of the movies
made these days are remakes. Maybe more if you count movies that are not
exactly remakes, but are pretty much an obvious rehashing of some old
story.
But what really burns me is when they remake *good* movies. Why bother?
Why not remake movies that sucked the first time but perhaps had a good
idea?

Or give it a twist, like 'High society' from 'The Philadelphia story'. A
good remake of a great film. And while we're on about it, what happened
to proper musicals? A hundred scantily clad unscrawny women cavorting
round a huge set - that's what I call a film!

The opinions given above may be mine. They might also
just be what I feel like saying right now, okay?

I made a vow not to play those kinds of games. The only ones I can play
right now are those without dice, markers or a board. Also, I can't play
any alone, no solitaire. It's a religious thing.
Bummer is, just before the vow, I thought I might like to start playing
Counterstrike because a lot of old friends were. But right now it's
verbotten because it is played in a mapped virtual environment, chance is
used in determining quite a number of elements and the player avatars
qualify as markers.
Charades and stuff is ok, that sort of thing.
Tomorrow though, I have a lot to do. Newsgroup time will be slim if at all,
maybe for a few days.
Oh, I remember the movie now. Hey, have you seen Suddenly also with Frank
Sinatra?
He did those two flicks, Suddenly and later Manchurian Candidate, and then
when John F. Kennedy was murdered he went loopy because of aspects in both
films. No wonder if you watch both and then look into Oswald's bio and the
assassination. It's kind of like the crossword puzzle at the end of WWII,
the one that had the D-Day codewords in it.
