Object: One of the BIGGEST decisions of my life
Okay, you guys have to read about my idea. I just have to tell
someone so please hear me out (or read me out I suppose)
I decided to go to the "super exotic pet store" last night (as opposed
to the plain old exotic pet store) and I purchased a caterpillar.
Now, not just any caterpillar, but an amazing, Americrapian Black
Fuzzy Haired Caterpillar. You wouldn't believe how many they had in
the tank to choose from. It took me like FOREVER to pick just the
right one.
I then had to grab the supplies needed like the encyclopedia of the
Americrapian Black Fuzzy Haired Caterpillar, a big glass bowl and a
stick. Of course, this maxed out the ole credit card so now my wife
is gonna shoot me, but you know how it is when you go on those damn
manic spending sprees. I guess I could have picked up a stick on the
way home, but I wanted to make sure I got the "Authentic Americrapian
Black Fuzzy Haired Caterpillar Stick". Ya know?
Anyway, I got her home and I showed her to my boys and asked them to
help me name her. We kinda watched her mannerisms and whatnot while
we got her home made. It takes a while to put some dirt and grass on
the bottom of a glass bowl, and the exact placement of the Authentic
Americrapian Black Fuzzy Haired Caterpillar Stick cannot be stressed
enough. You wouldn't believe how many pages are devoted to this in
the book I purchased.
Okay, so each of my boys selected a name and they wrote in on a piece
of paper. I put each one in a hat and pulled one out. I'm happy to
announce that my Americrapian Black Fuzzy Haired Caterpillar's name
is....
Fuzzy girl
My youngest picked that one out, as I'm sure you already figured out.
But the best part is yet to come. After we got the stick in just the
right place it was time for dinner, so we all left the den and went to
the dining room to eat. After dinner we watched some tv together and
the boys were pretty excited about today being their last day of
school so they went to bed early. We pretty much left ole Fuzzy Girl
to herself for the night.
I woke up this morning and got breakfast made for the boys and got
them off to school. Spent some time with the dogs and got them fed
too. You know how the mornings can be. Before I sat down here I
looked over to see how my lovely Fuzzy Girl had done through the night
and I just couldn't believe what I was seeing...You guys just aren't
gonna freakin believe this....
SHE IS IN A COCOON!!!!!!!
We must have placed that Authentic Americrapian Black Fuzzy Haired
Caterpillar Stick in just the right spot...:o) Gosh I'm so excited.
So now we are gonna count the days until she emerges as a new animal.
I am going to tatoo my name and message to the world, which I haven't
decided what it will be yet, on her wings and let her fly to parts
unknown to spread my words of love wherever she goes. The Authentic
Americrapian Black Fuzzy Haired Caterpillars will be speaking of me
LONG after the human race has gone from the earth. I am quite a
mighty person I have decided.
I thought about changing my nick to "Black Fuzzy Man" but I think you
can all see the serious implications of that. So, I'm up for
suggestions. What do you all think? And tell me what you think of my
wonderful new pet experience? Aren't you as excited as I am????
Waiting anxiously,
Kenster and the snuggly wrapped Fuzzy Girl
.

Ya know, with only you responding I'm begining to wonder if anybody
even read it to see the humor I was trying to give. Maybe I need to
give it up. I thought it was pretty damn funny myself..

Actually, I am assuming you really did this with boys tongue in cheek
aside? I think it is exciting. The transformation into a butterfly
astounds me. So you are really doing this right? I am not a complete
fool?

Rosena

Actually Rosena no, I didn't. We honestly have so many pets here now
that I feel like I live in a zoo as it is. I kinda stopped enjoying
the newness of the surprises (my wife is an extreme animal lover since
we've known each other so I know what I was getting into) when she got
into the rat thing.
Nothing against rats or anything cause I've actually found they are
pretty cool to have around, but I'm worried about what might be next
on her list.

I did love Kenster's little foray into satirical prose. He's pretty good at it.

yeah, the store didn't have any other nationalities in the whole
place. I didn't even think to ask about that. I might ask the "super
exotic verterinarian" when I take her in her cocoon next week and find
out if they have others or not.

I wonder if the super exotic veterinarians have teeny tiny stethoscopes?

Probably, I know doc always has to get his out for my exam. It's
really embaressing when he has to get on the intercom in the office to
ask for "the nurse with the really tiny hands" when he's ready to
check me for hernia too. You have no idea....
Honestly, it's pretty funny cause he is from India and wears a
turbine. Every time I see him his turbine always matches his shirt.
He is really into pastel colors too. This last time my appointment
was on a Wednesday and he is only open from 9am to noon those days.
He had on a baseball hat this day for some reason and he just looked
so different that I couldn't get over it. His hat was so high up on
his head because of all the hair inside it that it looked like a halo
and I was laughing with him about it. He's a pretty good guy though,
I just don't want to see him in a baseball hat anymore. It messed
with my mind for some reason and I can't figure out why.

You're too funny.

Thanks, I think I'm having a bit too much fun..:o)
