Object: One of those dreams
I just had one of those awful predict your death dreams. I was jumped,
robbed, beat up, tired to a fence in the mountains, and left for dead.
It seemed very real, and not a good way to go. I was in agony the four
days I was dying.
My hips also hurt a lot.

i tend to have nightmares if my hips or back are hurting. i
guess it's my way of resolving pain into something
understandable to me in my sleep. often, the pain's more
widespread in the dream than in rl. i also have abduction and
torture dreams when i'm hurting, sometimes. they're really hard
to shake the next day. i've woken up sobbing and taken an hour
to calm down.

I don't do pain dreams, but I get disturbing ones. The worst are where
I'm not sure whether I've woken up or not, because I've already dreamt
that I've woken up from the dream I haven't yet woken out of, except in
my dream. Those can fu*k up my mood for the day. I just don't quite know
what's real.

hey slunky!
So you think this is your subconscious trying to show you the future it
thinks you should have? If so,, turn right or something,, you don't
want to end up on that fence.
This reminded me of that kid that was killed in Wyoming, was it?
The college kid rthe two guys killed because the suspected him of
being a homosexual. I am not in any way trying to suggest that you
are a gay guy,, its just that they tied him to a fence and left him for
dead too, right??
I saw the movie HBO made about that,, while he was tied there he
could see all the lights of the city ,, it was a real pretty spot if
only he weren't tied there and dying.
what a world,

Well, I wasn't doing anything wrong in the dream. I was a little older
than I am now. It was sort of a right place right time thing.

This reminded me of that kid that was killed in Wyoming, was it?

Yea, Matthew Shepard.

Yea. They beat him and tied him to a fence to die. That one was by a
road though. The one in my dream was up in the mountains away from any
road.

I saw the movie HBO made about that,, while he was tied there he
could see all the lights of the city ,, it was a real pretty spot if

I saw that movie too. I remember seeing the fence on the news.

what a world,

*sigh* Yes.

As part of the dream or in RL?
I had some sort of nightmare last night,
too, but I can't remember the least
little thing about it. I woke up while I
was jumping out of bed and it took quite
a while to calm down again. It's odd for
me to not remember anything in the
dream, though.

Were you dreaming that your mind had gone totally blank? ;)

Gosh, for someone who lives in her head,
that really would be a nightmare. It's
blown over now, but I felt a little
discombobulated for a few hours after
waking.

Both. It feels weird.

It's odd for me to not remember anything in the dream, though.

But wouldn't that be good for a nightmare? Unless of course it drives
you nuts (it does to me).

I was wondering if the RL pain tried to
find a 'reason' for it in the dream. If
that makes sense.

Um, I think I get rid of it faster when
I remember it. But maybe not. Jumping
out of bed while frightened and (mostly)
asleep was a new thing for me, though.

It could be. A lot more of me hurt in the dream though.
