there are no tv shops around here ,
i gotta go 300 miles to find a tv repair shop ,
maybe its just time for a new tv , its only a 12 inch for the bedroom

12 inch, *buy a new one definately*. We never touched those, except to
part them out. They arent worth fixing, and that is for sure, even if
you lived next door to a TV shop.

Check that the vent holes arent clogged before you condemn it, but I
have never seen that on a TV. Bad 12 inch TVs are basically scrap.

and wiping it down to rid it of any dust

Not a hard short, but a thermal short, or just something drawing too
much current when it gets hot inside. Get a new one if it is less than
19 inches diagonal.
yea , it seems to go for about 12 hours and quits ,
and if i leave it for 12 hours i get another 12 out of it ,
but if i try and make it come on sooner it only goes about 15 minutes and
quits

It almost sounds like an internal breaker... I have those in my speakers if
I turn them up too loud for too long of a period, rather then blow out, they
shut off until it cools down.
