OT wisdom tooth |
well, this is now becoming an obsession, believing I can focus away from
pain and avoid the Dentists. Have they really not found a more painless
solution? Are they holding back the solutions because they don't trust
us? Can't they understand this is enough?
Ok, one week of codeine and if it's not through, i'll book an appointment...

If they're anything like our dentist, book it last month for next week.
(They are moving premises, which is some sort of excuse.)

The opinions given above may be mine. They might also
just be what I feel like saying right now, okay?

really i found having my wisdom teeth out to be less traumatic than
regular dentist appointments. that whole unconsciousness thing and
all. yay drugs.

Sometimes you can ask your dentist to use a gas anesthetic, you're
still partially awake but don't really feel the pain. Sometimes the
shot they give you doesn't work well, I always tell them so they can
try a little more. Did he give you some antibiotics? If it's hurting it
might be an absess or have an infection. Also sometimes a higher dose
of codiene might be helpful
I have a cap that recently fell out and have been avoiding the dentist,
at least until my meds start working a little better. So I can
understand what you're going through. I tend to have a lot of problems
with my teeth, which I think is genetic more then anything, besides
maybe not taking care of them as good as I should be.

no pain here. just massive... inaction, not even denial.
I think some really major problems exist.

have you tried a teether, like babies use? they have some that
are water-filled that you can put in the freezer. the ice numbs
the pain, and biting on it will assist the tooth in breaking
free.
good luck with it. my wisdom teeth all erupted sideways (like
all my molars.) they were a ***** to get through. then, once
they were in, i had them all pulled. should have seen the
dentist earlier.
good luck with it.

Make an appt with the dentist asap. It's not going to get any better
and it may get a whole lot worse. The problem with a wisdom tooth
erupting, is that it creates a pocket where food gets trapped and
results in an abscess. If you go to the dentist, they will give you a
local and cut away a small amount of gum tissue over the tooth,
allowing it to erupt and food not to be trapped.
