Object: our cat died (spoiler death)
Zelda died last night. We were in bed, she was snuggled in Brian's arms. She
vomited. She jumped out of bed and ran to the carpet. Brian went over and
pet her. She had what looked like a seizure. Then she lay still.
We rushed her to the animal hospital. I was pumping her chest the whole way.
I knew she was gone when she peed all over me.
They said she had this heart disease.
http://animal.discovery.com/fansites/radio/more/hypertrophic.html
It was so sudden. She was 3. She was the best cat ever.
My grandmother died in September. My dog (Brownie the cocker mix my parents
were taking care of for me) died in October. and now Zelda. I hate death so
much. I don't know what the ***** to do. What the fucking hell. How much can
one person take?

I'm so sorry RJ.They say losing a pet is in some ways harder then
losing a person.I remember when the vet put my mom's cat to sleep(she
had cancer).we were in the room when they put her in a gurney and gave
her a needle.I just sobbed and sobbed. It was so hard.I'm really sorry
you have to go through this.

I don't think there's anything harder in this life then losing
loved ones...(and it's not something any of us can avoid)I think it's
important to know that the grieving process is normal, and it's
perfectly fine to feel the sadness and long.I talked with a friend
yesterday who was really upset because her first cousin dying.I think
it helps her to have people to talk to,and I hope you also are helped
by talking with people, and all the other ways of dealing with grief...

Many years ago, a very similar thing happened to my cat. The night
after she died, I was very depressed; the cat used to sleep in my arms
every night. We were each other's teddy bear. My husband tried to
comfort me, but I was still miserable. Then, as I was lying awake, my
cat jumped up onto the bed, the way she did every night when she was
ready to get into bed with me. I knew, intellectually, that my kitty
couldn't really be there, because she was gone, but I was so glad to
see her that I reached out to gather her into my arms. My hands
passed through her, and she faded away into the darkness, but I felt
very comforted knowing that she was still near me, even if I couldn't
physically hold her anymore.
I believe that our loved ones remain near us, even when they've passed
on to whatever lies beyond death. In some of my worst moments, I've
felt the presence of my beloved grandmother and been comforted, at
least a little bit, by knowing she was nearby.
I'm very sorry for your loss, RJ, and of course, nothing makes up for
the physical presence of a loved one. But I hope this comforts you a
little bit.

We rushed her to the animal hospital. I was pumping her chest the whole way.
I knew she was gone when she peed all over me.

They said she had this heart disease.

It was so sudden. She was 3. She was the best cat ever.

I'm sorry for your loss, Rebecca. I didn't realize feline cardiomyopathy
would kill so soon. My cat Spot had it but he lived until he was 14,
actually
he died of something else: nonregenerative neutropenia (body didn't make
new
blood cells) and I didn't even know he had cardiomyopathy until vet
diagnosed the other
thing. Anyways, Zelda was so young. :-(

My grandmother died in September. My dog (Brownie the cocker mix my parents
were taking care of for me) died in October. and now Zelda. I hate death so
much. I don't know what the ***** to do. What the fucking hell. How much can
one person take?

I wish the best for you and yours from here on out Rebecca.
