pamalar / nortryptaline |
Hi all,
Have a question. I am having really bad crying episodes, and am not sure
why, but think it could be because of the pamalar. Has anyone else ever
experienced this? I'm on 150mgs nortryptaline, would taking one in the am
and one at night help? I think it may be interacting with some of the other
meds I'm on.
Thanks,
David

maybe it's not meds, but where your head's at? i have crying
fits over nothing (like fundraising events and tv commercials)
when i'm in-between ok and a bad place. especially if i'm one
step away from numbness, either going up or down.
other people, though, report crying when coming off
antidepressants, so maybe splitting your dose, insead of
taking it all at once might help. talk to your doc about it.

I'll see my Dr. about it today and will ask about it then. I'm liking the
idea of taking 75 at night and 75 in the morning to keep it even in the
blood stream, but it is also sedating and helps me sleep. I'm also on 50mg
paxil cr, 800 Tegretol xr, 4 mg resperdol and 6 mg clonazepam. I have a
seizure disorder (with no visible seizures) and organic mood disorder, and
have mostly depression and psychosis, as well as other symptoms related to
the seizure disorder.
I also have ptsd and have been through a lot, but now I'm wondering if the
crying is due to the meds being off balance. I seem to remember this
happening before. She's also been thinking of changing my ssri as well, but
don't want to do too much at once.
I appreciate your input.
David

What meds are you on, in addition to nortriptyline? And what symptoms
do you have when you are off meds (i.e., for what reasons are you
taking them)? It's hard to say much without knowing these things.
