yeah screw them, but when they're the one's supporting you and your kids

then you live by their rules and if you don't like that ,
you change where you and your kids live

Far too many people don't get it. I guess for parents in particular it would
make you feel like some kind of failure, even though that is like feeling
like a failure for your kids having diabetes. Attitudes toward depression
and other forms of mental illness have a long ways to go, as you know, and
some people don't want it hitting home in any way - in their friends, their
family, their coworkers.
Obviously your parents can't be talked into "getting it." %, I'm sure, would
have a great line for how useful it would be to try. In Zen, "it's like a
mosquito trying to bite an iron bull."
So that's I guess a fact that is part of the matrix. They don't get it. OK,
you tried. And you have reaffirmed to yourself that you are not in a
supportive environment, not the way you need it now.
