Paying more than $3 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline |
Gasoline is still cheap compared to Europe, but it is costing noticeably
more to fill up. I laugh at the owners of big SUVs and trucks. My car gets
22/32 mpg, but I still wish for even better fuel economy. The Honda Civic GX
looks more and more attractive. It runs on compressed natural gas, which
costs about half as much as the equivalent amount of gasoline. It is
extremely clean, rated AT-PZEV (advanced technology-partial zero emissions
vehicle, I think). EPA mileage is 30/34 mpg. Also, the Civic GX is allowed
in carpool lanes even with only one occupant.
With a Civic GX, I'd *really* laugh at the SUV owners! LOL

Guess what, they wouldn't care.
You drive a Ford F150 anyway.
Or do you forget the posts where you were talking about how when you fall
asleep at the wheel you planned to kill as many people as possible? Or how
you intended to kill me/destroy my car with your truck?

No, I've never driven an F150. I had a large Japanese truck for a short
while, but I sold it before the latest surge in gas prices.

Interesting that you have contention with the truck brand.
So, let's say it wasn't a Ford.
You threatened to kill as many people as you could in your "large Japanese
truck" as well as kill me and destroy my Integra. (Which is based on the
Civic platform of all things!)
Better hope there isn't another nazi bug owner out there who kept his truck
and decides to go around smashing Civics.
Funny.
PS: I'd be safe from your alter ego civic smashing maniac, my daily driver
is a Volvo V70 R. The Integra has been taken out of daily service while I
work on getting it setup for autocross and I've never seen anybody trying an
autocross course in a "large Japanese truck"

The new 2006 Civics are supposed to have quite good crash protection. Cars
are improving rapidly in this area lately. Besides, there will be fewer and
fewer large SUVs on the road as gas prices rise. The trend (except in Texas,
of course :)) is towards smaller, lighter SUVs that are based on car
platforms and are not as dangerous to other vehicles as the old truck-based
SUVs.
The only problem with the Civic GX (and the Civic Hybrid, I think) is the
tiny trunk space and the absence of a folding rear seat back. I doubt that I
can fit my bicycle in the trunk, even with the front wheel removed. Maybe it
will fit behind the front seats, though...
Millie and Mollie will fit in *any* car! :)

With a Civic GX, I'd *really* laugh at the SUV owners! LOL
til they squished you like a bug...
:/
The new 2006 Civics are supposed to have quite good crash protection. Cars
are improving rapidly in this area lately. Besides, there will be fewer
and fewer large SUVs on the road as gas prices rise. The trend (except in
Texas, of course :)) is towards smaller, lighter SUVs that are based on
car platforms and are not as dangerous to other vehicles as the old
truck-based SUVs.
The only problem with the Civic GX (and the Civic Hybrid, I think) is the
tiny trunk space and the absence of a folding rear seat back. I doubt that
I can fit my bicycle in the trunk, even with the front wheel removed.
Maybe it will fit behind the front seats, though...
Millie and Mollie will fit in *any* car! :)

If you actually owned a bike you wouldn't be so fat.

Right.... I mean how in the world can these people with the hummers and
stuff afford to fill the tanks in their vehicles? Just doesn't make any
damn sense.
millipede man wrote:
LOL
