Object: people who work full time...
I'm completly amazed that people can work full time without going
totally,100% crazy...I don't think I ever could do it...I think
working part time is a major achievement.I honestly do...(even 20-25
hours a week would make me happy.)but...maybe I just don't have enough
confidence in myself.maybe I could do it...I've heard of people
working 100 hours a week.now I absolutly KNOW I could never do that...

I guess the important thing for me to remember is that I don't need
to think in conventional ways...I think that's something I need to
work on.I've always been an abstract, associative thinker,I've always
thought in unusual ways about things, and I guess I just have to
remeber that that's ok...I've always had alot of frustration about
being different.but I guess there are many advantages to being
different...(if you can look at it that way-which I think is not
always easy in our culture...)

If you make enough money to support yourself, why worry about the 40 hour
thing?

Oh, yes, I wanted this too.
I am being cured of this.
We have a HUGE black furry hairshedding English chow staying with us
until January 5th.
He belongs to our landlords who live below us and who have gone home

This animal is seven years old and we have to spell W-A-L-K around him

Do you live where there's "weather", el? I do, yesterday there was a
whipping wind and the dog, she seems oblivious to that. Do you notice
how whenever it's really cold they seem to sniff for AGES before they
put out? Or is it just that every second seems like a minute...

Oh, yes! I took this visiting chow out for a walk yesterday {ice,
snow, huge snowdrifts} and although we were out for 45 minutes, at
least 10 of them were spent waiting for him to do whatever it was he
had to do.
Oh, and the day I had one poop bag with me, he went three times.
Yesterday I carried four and used one.

She'll stand in the middle of the room and make a sound like "pta, pta" and
everyone will jump to attention asking what she wants. She used to be able to

What I find difficult is not so much working a lot of hours, as it is working
9-5, away from home. You have to plan things a lot more carefully, whether it's
going to the dentist, getting the plumber in, etc. You may also be wasting a
lot of time commuting at peak hours.
I also have a hard time being around people for as many hours as a 9-5 job
entails. Luckily I have usually had jobs where a good amount of the work could
be done at home. If you want more hours, you might want to look for something
like that.

i really wish i could find a job that i could do from home, mostly
because of the dogs. right now they are both going to work with me

hopefully i will get eleusis crate trained enough that she can stay

It really is a dilemma, what to do with your pets. The one period that I was
out 10 hours a day, consistently, and couldn't take dogs to work, I hired a dog
walking firm. Luckily, I lived in an apartment complex where they walked a lot
of dogs, and I got a much cheaper deal than I would where i am now.

the girl that comes in at 6 at work said my dog must be part kangaroo.
just to give you an idea.... lol. god she's a happy creature. she's so
exuberent. and she makes me laugh like crazy.

i don't know where i'd find a dog-walker around here. and i know there
is no doggy daycare. at this point, i have to have a job where i'm
either home or can take the poodle. if i had a day job i'd leave
eleusis home in her crate and let her bark. but siren with her little

i work outside the home from 9-2:30 monday-friday but that still don't
make it a part time job because when i come home there is still laundrey
to do, housecleaning, fixing meals, doing dishes and taking care of the
children and my husband works monday-friday 9am-5pm then monday,
wednesday, friday, saturday and sunday 10pm-7am at another job.....and
now being the holiday season we also have christmas parties and
children's christmas programs. like tonite we have a children's x-mas
party from 5:30-6:30 then the 9 yr old is in a christmas program at
school. believe me there are days i meet myself on the highway and just
wave :-)
