Well, I just admitted I didn't know it until I found a link but then I
didn't give the link I found, even though I didn't just cut and paste
from the page but put the information in my own words. I was totally
honest about my previous state of ignorance, but now I feel that by
failing to give the link, I subtly laid claim to a more organic kind of
knowledge than was really involved. Upon reflection, I have come to the
conclusion that I didn't post the link because I wanted people to read
me and not some web page, and of course that's OK, but I do think I
would have been a slightly better person had I posted the link. That
would have also had the advantage of showing that I didn't just do the
cut and paste thing, which would definitely have been dishonest, but put
what I had learned into my own words.
