perspective and proportion |
I was very angry years ago when Pauline Kael, who was one of my
favorite movie critics, wrote a very neagtive review of Antonioni's
"Blow Up".(One of my all time favorite art movies, from 1966).but she
did mention in the review that it's important for crtics to have a
sense of perspective, proportion, context and humor...I've thought about
that a lot,the fact that,it's not just critics that need that.It helps
everyone to have those things I'm sure...I often lose perspective on
ASD...I take words and conflicts too seriously...In an unmoderated
group as big as this one, with so many diverse people, with diverse
backrounds and views,it's inevitable that there will be personality
and other conflicts,misunderstanding,arguments...but that's just one
aspect of ASD,there is also a ton of caring and support.I have to
remember that it's up to me to chose what to focus on,what to dwell
on,which posts to read and which to avoid...
