Yesterday we had an actual bomb two cafés away from here. The army did a
controlled explosion on it. It hasn't made the national news, though I'm
sure the local paper will have it. They closed the whole area off - they
wouldn't even let me go to the library.

I can't stand any news broadcasted about injury or death to a child. I
get very depressed for days afterwards. So I stopped watching the news.

I can understand that... watching the news on tv or reading the
newspapers can be very difficult...

It's the same the whole world over,
it's the poor that gets the blame,
it's the rich that gets the pleasure,
isn't it a blooming shame?

Or... suppose you're in the underground, waiting in a station, an just
as the train approaches someone comes and pushes you down to the
railway. On purpose. Just because.
Happened this morning to a 20 yo girl in Madrid. The culprit? A 23 yo
male, no relation to the victim, no motif. He didn't even run away.
(She made it, almost miraculously. One of her legs didn't).
Made me so fucking furious.

The mere idea of hurting another human being is so abhorrent to me, I do not
understand how these things actually happen.

That has happened here. I am not going to look up the details.
Furious is too mild a word, but I don't know any better.
