Productive Hypomania! |
Now _this_ is what makes being Bipolar worthwhile.
I tweaked my meds and am feeling much better, along with the bonus
energy to get things done. Errands that were exhausting, or I couldn't
do some days during my months-long depression, all got done in two
hours.
This mood state can stick around a while. I write good stuff when I'm
like this. My apartment walls need washing and my bike needs work. NO
INVITATIONS!
I'm ahead of budget this month (for once), so I got a jump drive on
sale. Fewer worries about losing stuff on my old hard drives, even
though everything important (including my books) is backed up on my
ISP's server.
I came home and found an Email -- a DVD I was waiting for from the
library is available, a video tour of the Morris Museum in Augusta,
GA.. My male character is from Augusta and my female character, a
graphic artist, visits the museum in Book #1. Also, I love Southern
Impressionists! I was at the library earlier to return a book, then
went next door to the Lions Club to drop off some old glasses. Doggone
it. Will pick up the DVD tomorrow, looking forward to it.
I might even go for a little bike cruise this evening, if it doesn't
rain. Haven't felt like doing that in months, either.
This is a Good Day. I don't take them for granted, enjoying every
second. I didn't waste Medicare's money by going inpatient.

Ain't bragging. My Bipolar is heavily weighted to the depressive side.
A dose of productive hypomania is an emotional vacation. Sadly, my
"good" hypomanic episodes don't last long.
I'm agitated today for some reason. Time to up the meds again. Will
talk to my doc. about it on Tuesday.

I do admit the bad aspects of BP outweigh the good
for eveyone. And I didn't really think you were bragging.
