I don't. yet. can't afford either right now. not after paying for a
new harddrive, medical, car repair, vet for Josh, and other stuff. I
want both Xbox 360 and PS3 and i will eventually get both. but the
thing is, Xbox 360 is already 2+ years old, which means the next Xbox
can't be more than a few years away. As for PS3, from what ive seen
and read, the games aren't that great. it's good for playing Blu-ray
movies though. i got the Wii last year because it was different.
the Xbox 360 and PS3 are basicly just Xbox and PS2 with better
graphics, and some new features, nothing really new like the Wii's
motion sensing controller (and PS3's motion sensing controller is a
poor design compared to Wii Remote)......... also the Xbox 360 has had
MASSIVE failure/defect rate, like 1 in 3 which is just F'ed up, even
though M$ has that warrenty......
My brother has the XBox360 Elite I think it's called with the HDMI
output. It hasn't failed yet, but it won't play THPS3. I'm supposed to
be looking for a hack to make it play roms, but I haven't looked yet.
I'm going to be fixing a PS3 sometimes this week when the guy brings it
over, so I'll see then if it's any good, but I'd never pay for one
myself.
also, my television, a year-2001 Sony, only supports 1080i HD, it
won't do 720p or 1080p. so maybe i should wait until i can get a
better HDTV......hmmm.
You don't really need progressive scanning unless you're watching sports
or something where there's lots of camera motion and focusing on very
small objects like hockey pucks.
the hell with it. I will wait until the Xbox 360 successor and PS4, by
then, game programmers will have a better grasp of coding for multi-
core CPUs and stuff.
plus, nothing beats MAME. the emulator that lets you play 1000s of
old arcade games on your PC (or original Xbox), for "free".
all these new-generation games, baffle me. i like the older stuff
anyway.
I was playing Battletoads and Battletoads 2 today on my computer.
