Assuming this career does not work out, what would be other options
for me? Ones that I could apply my current skills (or general lack
thereof) to?
One thing that helped me: consulting a cereer counselor, who got me to
think about things I'd like to do or try as well as work simply related
to my field. Nothing to lose, eh?

I had never heard of a career counselor before. Do they cost money? I
will look into it, thank you.
Amazingly, I was not fired immediately after tax season, so I can look
