Professional philosophical training.
I laughed hard when I read this -- I tend to like many of Ilya's posts because
I take him as he appears to be -- a very romantic passionate man who deeply
wants to think about important matters.
I like that in anyone (Alvin is sort of like this too a bit).
But still . . . I am like you (from what I infer) and I often get frustrated
beyond belief in RL when people often think "philosophy" or the art of thinking
is something we all can just do like playing in mud (I think of mud I guess
because that is what one often sees -- muddy waters where all hope of clarity
and precision have been swallowed by the muck of amature "philosophy" )

I'm not sure anyone here needs that much training, but a firm grounding
in logic would make a lot of threads less frustrating.
