You ain't a "mutt", you've got hybrid vigour! The best of both (all?)
worlds!
My (obvious) favourite is "Toccata and Fugue in D minor":
Dee-de-deeeee, dee-de-de-de-deee-deeeeee... Think of a dank, Gothic
castle and you can't help but think of that tune; and where would the
"Phantom of the Opera" have been without it? ;)--
p.s. Just a small point - it's "Scots" or "Scottish" never "Scotch".
Sorry for nit-picking.

BWV 565! an excellent tune. i have a few organ CDs. they are superb with
subwoofers (kind of wierd on headphones). i like how the bass can get room
shaking, down to 8 hz (sorry but NO trance music gets that low).
i started to go overboard, running all my classical and electronica CDs
through a spectrum analyzer (madonna and bjork have some low bass i
discovered).

it's eerie music, but Bach was highly religious. i picked up the Art of
Fugue, which contains a 6 part fugue (6 separates lines of "melody" all
intertwining). simply unbelieveable. however, i like the organ fugues much
better, since they are more accessible to my Philistine ears.
there's another one (Musical Offering?) that has a cool 4 part fugue, which
is easy on the ears, but still complex.
i need to check out Phantom of the Opera.
Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring. Wachtet Auf. i forget the others i like.
