Reiki and depression |
Hi,
Just wondering, has anyone used Reiki (self)treatment for their depression?
Did it help? What technique was used?

I've never used it, but have read that these types of treatments aren't
as effective as the regular meds used for depression. It may though
help with mild depression. I would be careful about using these
products, most haven't been tested.

If it's for sale, it can be considered to be a product. Besides, the
best you can say is that Reiki is *supposed* to be a form of healing.
When it's been shown to be effective in scientific trials it will be
possible to say it heals.
Belief doesn't mean that something works; take homepathy, for example.
Test after test shows it has no effect, not test has shown the slightest
effect, but people still believe it works.

The opinions given above may be mine. They might also
just be what I feel like saying right now, okay?

It's about as useful as going to Benny Hinn.

I really should... My mom's a reiki master and I took a class, so I
can give myself reiki, but I never do... so many things I know I should
do(even though I know "should" is not a helpful word), that I don't do
nearly enough... I occasionally reiki other people though...

Greetz,
I have - didn't help. That doesn't mean to say that it won't help. It
just didn't help me.
