Return of the Toothache |
Ok, so my toothache is back. I thought I had killed the nerve, but
obviously I didn't, or this is another nerve. It hurts like a *****.
This particular tooth is fracturung pretty bad. Every morning I spit out
another piece of it. I grind my teeth in my sleep because of my tardive
dyskenisia. I need to pull it. I'm afraid to try and break it off. My
tounge keeps getting cut my the sharp sides of my tooth. This hurts a
lot.

this is how my tooth pain was doing. coming on with a vengence and then
going away temporarily. the dentist explained to me last week that what
happens is that the cavity inside the tooth pushes against the nerve and
causes pain, and then the nerve pulls back sort of in self defense. then as
the cavity continues to grow, it again pushes against the nerve causing it
to again retreat. that is why the pain comes and goes.
but man when it comes, watch out!!!
good luck, slunky. it's no fun, that's for sure. and it sure is expensive.
:/

Thanks. I don't know anything about teeth. They didn't teach any of that
when I was taking college, as it's not emergency medicine (I have a BA
in Pre-hospital Emergency Care) Knowing why it hurts makes me feel
somewhat at ease.

Sorry about your teeth, I do the same thing I grind my teeth, and like the
stubborn wench that I am I don't wear the mouth guards the dentist made for
me. You should go in and get the tooth pulled and a mouth guard.
BTW I've not uploaded the picture of our Turkey yet, sorry it was a bit of a
rough night. I'll see what I can do today.

I really need a dentist, but I don't want to pay for something I can do
myself, but I can't make myself a biteblock, so that's a good reason to
go.

No rush. Take your time.

Ok. I gracefully bow down. Toothaches are all yours now.
