I do not like to hear the news with such beauties because I can hardly
concentrate. I keep looking at them and paying attention to them, how they
move, how they dress, their smile, etc., rather on what they say.

You should avoid the Russian news program where the anchors strip as they
deliver the news of the day.

There's Heidi Collins (who has my last name) and Robin Meade (who has my old,
married last name). Coincidence or conspiracy? You decide.

Yes, she's very attractive. A good vocalist, too. Once in a while
they show pieces where she is singing, or she sings on the air.
Unfortunately, she often acts like a giggling empty-headed
cheerleader. I had to stop watching Headline News in the morning

Yeah, I know. The on-air male staff fawn over her regularly, even
though she's happily married.
Like I said. I like Robin's talent, and yes, she's nice to look at.
She reminds me of all the crap I've put up with because I won't act

She's nothing like me. She has a formal education, a good job, a
handsome husband who loves her and sings like a bird.
She reminds me of how I have been treated all my life and it makes me
sick. Even in my 40's, I'm constantly putting up with people (male
and female) who think I should exploit my looks and act like a silly
teenager to get people to like me. I'm smarter than that. I demand
to be respected.
Oh, well. Robin isn't alone and broke. She's quite popular and
merits an important job on TV. In order to be true to who I am, I'll
never reach a fraction of her success.

->and what steps are you taking to correct this

1. Several calls to my HMO's Behavioral Health Department, who keep
saying I can only get outpatient services at the clinic I go to for
meds.
2. Several conversations with the therapist I am assigned to. She
and her supervisor have decided I can no longer have one-on-one
therapy and must go to their support groups (not formal therapy
groups). I attended the Bipolar group for several weeks before
getting tired of people whining about their medication, various
members deliberately going off their meds, ending up manic and having
to be committed, co-dependent types who are dependent on their
families beyond anything age-appropriate, blah blah. The Depression
group is worse.
3. Called the local crisis line, hoping for a referral. Was told to
go back to the clinic or get a Medicare therapist. Medicare dosen't
pay squat, I cannot afford $40 co-pays per visit.
4. Recently went inpatient because my moodswings were out of control,
also hoping for a referral. Doc changed my meds, which slowed the
moodswings. Then he went out of town. The doc who was covering for
him is a total *****, no one can stand him. They can't get rid of
him because it's a private facility and he owns a piece of it.
All I have left now is hoping for assignment to a therapist who
understands PTSD via Voc. Rehab, or filing a formal complaint against
the clinic. Neither actions are likely to produce results.
Oh, I suppose I could go sit in a bar, get really smashed and see if
anyone wants to hear about my pathetic life. I'll probably kick
someone's ***** and end up in jail. I'm a mean drunk.

necassarily starving in the streets.

It isn't really subjective, it's relative. The problems you face as you
gain success are not greater, they are just different.

I believe it's subjective since it's the way you look at success. Some
really enjoy it but for some it's nothing but stress keeping up that
particular lifestyle yet they strive to acheive that success from outside
sources.
And wouldn't you agree the more one has, the more they've got to lose?

Somehow I don't think many homeless people would claim they have no
worries.

I was talking more on the lines of the lower class - upper class, not
necassarily starving in the streets.

It all depends on what kind of attachment they have to their material
goods. I don't think staying at any particular level is very stressful.
In many ways it's easier. The more money you have, the more certain you
can be that you'll always have it - provided you keep it in risk-free
instruments.
It's those who are never happy with their success that have the biggest
problem. They always want more and take too many risks. That kind of
thinking can occur no matter what level a person is on.

You talk about Japanese technocracy and you get radios. You talk about
