Object: Saddam Captured?
Not 100% officially confirmed yet but looks an awful lot like they have him.
Wouldn't it be terrible if he were shot trying to escape? :-)

I really hope this is a fact and that finally things can move along.
I've just seen the press conference and it seems to be confirmed but
DNA analysis will have to be carried out. So many look-alikes etc.
One thing the Iraqi's have been saying constantly is that until he
is captured the fear factor still remains. Loyalty to him still
remains. I really hope it's him and he will be tried for the decades
of senseless cruelty to his own people.

I'm just looking for the light in the darkness. Do you think I have
no sympathy for the troops on the ground? I have every sympathy for
them and for their families that worry about them.
I didn't support the war on Iraq. I do hope the instability from
that war can somehow be settled into some workable peace. This has
yet to be seen... but it would be quite something if it could be so.

Someone had to stop it. The UN sure's hell isn't good at doing

Reader's Digest had a good article about that recently. Dictators/war

I'm sure they'll twist this against us somehow.
For example, "600 troops with artillery support and not a single shot

How'd I do?

Fifth columnist - Subversives within who support the enemy. An old term. I
notice here they like to cry dissent, but dissent does not encompass lies,
innuendos, slurs, etc.

"Poor Saddam! Be gentle with him."!?! Stop burping air, would you Demi?
So name the names of those here who have supported the enemy. What were
the lies, innuendos, slurs, etc. that you're alledging? Be specific,
don't
be a vague namby pamby leg twitching conservative for once Demi. Do
allegations
of massive numbers of WMD before the war count against the
conservatives? The lack of
accuracy in our intelligence community really give us comfort for the
prevention
of another 9/11 disaster, doesn't it.
That's quite a charge against those here who were against the war Demi,
can you really
equate being against the war with actively supporting the enemy,
Fraulein
Demi? Should we goose step along with you as long as we're all supposed
to
be in lock step behind the war effort?
While you're at it, what were the number of civilian deaths during the
Iraqi war?
I think Thor posed the question of whether more civilians were killed
before
or after the war...well given that there's intentionally not an active
accounting of these,
then I guess we'll never know will we? Those people don't seem to count.
http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/opinion/152131_civdeaded.html
There's also the issue of the number of Iraqis Saddam killed/tortured
before he
became our official enemy (before the Gulf War) and was our 'friend' in
the
war against Iran. Do those casualties not count towards his prosecution?
How about that profiteering going on in the rebuilding of Iraq? Warms
the heart
it does.
There are other countries with despot leaders who kill/torture their
citizens,
do we go after them next? Because now that Saddam's gone all will be
peace and
joy and happiness in the land of Iraq in the future...there will never
be another
***** like Saddam there to take his place in Iraq after the U.S.
forces are gone will
there. Yeah huh.

Jean

Well, this "allelujah! Can't wait to read what the asd/f
fifth columnists will say, eg, Poor Sadam! Be gentle with him!"
and "What a sad, sad, day it must be for you. Well, tough *****."

is just pathetic ***** so I decided to say so.

Oh, i know that fred. and I am all over your absolute rights to say so.

Just don't want you to take her vitriol seriiously, semi seriously, or
even minutely seriously. I note she can't even answer you coherently.

Jean

Thanks Jean, I noticed that incoherence

Nah! Nothing inchoherent about my pointing out where your true sympathies lie.
She's just fallen off the wagon and you're delusional.

<snicker>
So where do my true sympathies lie, Demi? You seem to have a
problem citing specifics.

too so let's just let her be

alone
be in her own little persecuatorial world for awhile.
-Fred

You *are* delusional, since you are the one whining to anyone who will listen
(which is not very many) about being persecuted.

So where are all your anti-war 'asd/f fifth columnists saying, eg, Poor
Sadam!
Be gentle with him!' here?!?
A delusion is a belief in something that doesn't exist. The anti-war
"fifth columnists
who are saying Poor Sadam! Be gentle with him!" here don't exist. You
can't argue with
facts Demi, you're exhibiting paranoid and delusional behavior.
