its become rather spooky now ,
the sun has burned some of it off ,
so the fog is only about 3 feet deep at ground level ,
kind'a looks like a 1940's Lon Chaney Wolfman forest scene ,
with all the fog slowly rolling down the hill
.

One of my favorite things about the
mountains is the way the fog plays in
the valleys. It's pretty windy here
today. I went to look at the river
nearby and it was so high and fast that
it was kinda foaming in places. Pretty.

i like watching fog over water ,
its been so hot here ,
there's lots of flooding in the south ,
the snow packs are melting too fast ,
no real threats yet , a bit of sand bagging ,
and moving things out of basements ,
but with rain predicted for today , well , will see
.

There may be some slightly used sandbags
in New England that we could send ya,
heh. Still using the sump pumps, though.
It rained yesterday and maybe
thunderstorms today -- but the rivers
are back in the riverbeds, mostly.

i was listening to some science type guy on TV yesterday ,
and he was saying that the creek he was standing by ,
which was raging out of control ,
has only flooded twice in the last 100 years including this time ,
and then they try to tell me there's no global warming occurring ,
this is just a normal cycle

Yeah, but the 'normal cycle' is a looong
one and has included the ice age and the
megafloods we saw in that documentary.
I'm not sayin' there ain't no global
warming goin' on -- just that it might
be part of the natural scheme of things.
Nevertheless, I don't drive no SUV.

well i only go by what i see around here ,
and i've been told the north will see it first ,
with things like less snow and that has happened ,
every year since i moved here and warmer weather ,
we've broke 3 hottest days on record this month ,
and about 6 so far this year , i guess i'll just say ,
maybe the natural cycle is being accelerated by ,
all the green house gas and fossil fuel burning
.

It's not a real fog if you can see to the windows.
