Smoke. Down to 8 a day. Only smoke outside.

or be known for something famous what would it be?
My artwork.
7. Do you have a flair for decorating? What is one of your best ideas

Yes. A hand-painted floor to ceiling mural. And I sew. Made my own
curtains, slipcovers, and pillow shams. I also made my own faux stained
glass lampshades using glass paint.
8. What is your most hated house-hold chore? (Okay, you can have two

All of it, but mostly dishes. They never end.
9. Are you afraid of dying? If so, why?

and Spirals...then I make collages and frame them for hanging.

Thanks hon! I almost didn't, now I'm glad I did. I'll scan some of my
artwork and share it with the group as soon as I get up the nerve then fret
a little over which ones to show you. But I will, promise. :)

Thank you! It actually felt good telling you those things. This exercise
was a wonderful idea. It has revealed so many interesting things about
those who participated. You're right about this being a talented group.
Seems there really is a connection between depression and creativity. As
for children's books - thanks for the vote of confidence - the desire to do
it has finally begun to chip away at my fear, so perhaps I will succeed. I
did actually write and illustrate one once, years ago, but could never get
it published. It was a bad time for children's literature that year and no
one was buying. At the time my oldest son - then eight - told his teacher
about it and she invited me to read it in front of the class. The kids
loved it. I was encouraged by their reaction, yet I remember being more
touched by how proud my son was of me. I will never forget the look on his
face that day. Give me some time and I will work my way up to sharing some
of my drawings. Thanks for this September poll. It was an amazing way to
get us to open up and learn more about each other.

Very interesting. I remember when I was a kid, I used to love going to

spend hours and hours there. Very happy times. :)

<(((*> Okay. You've got to tell me what this is. :)
It's a machine that is used to polish rocks. It's like a rotary
washing machine, only instead of dirty clothes you put rocks in
it, and instead of soap you put an abrasive powder, but like the
washing machine you do put water in it.
Then when you turn it on, the little drum rotates for days at a
time. The abrasive powder grinds down the edges of the rocks,
till they become smooth and polished like river pebbles.
If a rock spends long enough in the tumbler, it wears down to
nothing.

We have a digital camera. I can post the pics to the botswiki. I
have no excuses for not sharing. No excuses except
procrastination, that is.
We have an election coming up for the municipal government. I am
so-o-o-o-o tempted to mount somebody's campaign poster in the
toilet.

Many of the fossils I've found will spend a few days in the rock
tumbler once I've got it. Not long enough to remove the details,
just long enough to clean them up and polish them a little.
Once that's done, I should take more pics. I've found some
totally amazing fossils. Shells mostly.

Wow. I've never seen one.
Then when you turn it on, the little drum rotates for days at a

So that's how they do it. I have always wondered about that. I
remember my Uncle polishing a stone for me once when I was a wee
little girl. I wonder if he had a rock tumbler.
If a rock spends long enough in the tumbler, it wears down to
nothing.

Well that is one interesting hobby you have there Tara. I have always
liked rocks. I took Geology in High School (didn't do too well,

look at rocks all day long). :)

Well, I've always wanted to be a theater actress.
4. What about exercise. What do you do to keep fit? Or what would you

Walk. When I am depressed I don't want to but my anxiety forces me

Why watch "reality television" when I have USENET?

Beside me? A splash of paint on the wall--several colours not in

sewn myself); my home-made drapes which are gorgeous--my angel
collection; my purple book case lined with favourite novels and books

like to be a piano teacher.
My real love is in performance, however I do not have the nerves to

Cool. I hope you get it :)
i need to get off my bum and actually start taking the first steps.
it's so intimidating though.
Yeah I agree with you it is. If your schedule allows, it might not be
a bad idea to start looking anyway and see what's on the market and
get an idea of what you want and how much it costs. You could go from
there.
2. What is something you would like to keep on doing forever and a

sleep.
3. Do you have a hidden talent? Something obscure that you can do
pretty well but don't advertise?
i used to be able to play the piano pretty well but it's been years
since i've had the chance to play.
I hope you can pursue this perhaps a little later on. I hadn't played
seriously for near on 26 years and I picked it up earlier this year. I
am hoping to take exams again and if my body and mind allow, I would
like to be a piano teacher.
My real love is in performance, however I do not have the nerves to
cope with the anxiety. I literally shake when I play in front on
people, so that's out. Do you have access to a piano? Or, have you
thought about a digital?

Oh yeah it sure is. As soon as you get your house you can bring it
over, tune it up and away you go. :) It's good to dream about these
things and this is something that can happen if you get the right
advice. Good luck with it all elegy. You work very hard and deserve
good things.

I'm saving up as part of a contingency plan for any unforseen expense, so
that I can be with Nina. What I'd like in the material sense is a Nikon D70s
with a Nikkor 60mm Macro lens for ebay pics.
2. What is something you would like to keep on doing forever and a

Eat, be aware, sex.
3. Do you have a hidden talent? Something obscure that you can do

I used to be a good dancer. I can paint and draw, and I have a natural talent
for selling.
4. What about exercise. What do you do to keep fit? Or what would you
like to do if you weren't too damned depressed to do it?
I don't do anything because of a bad knee. I used to like walking, and I
loved cycling.
5. Reality T.V. shows? Love 'em or hate 'em?
Junk junk junk junk and junk.
6. If you could have anything named after yourself, or be known for
something famous what would it be?
Something not very nice that I cannot say in public.
7. Do you have a flair for decorating? What is one of your best ideas
for sprucing up a tired looking room.
I have a good eye for design but I don't use it at all. As for rooms, the
scruffier the better.
8. What is your most hated house-hold chore? (Okay, you can have two
or three if you like) :)
All, I'm not house trained.
9. Are you afraid of dying? If so, why?
Yes, ***** scared, even though I am often suicidal. Why? Nina....
10. What is your favourite thing to do in order to relax and unwind?
Be with Nina. She's valium, atavan, malt whisky and a hard days work all
rolled into a laugh, a smile, and a kiss.

1. Name something that you are saving up for, or something you would
like to buy for yourself in the near future.
a new antivirus or a video card, I recently discovered that my video
for this pc is on the motherboard and doesn't have the options a pci
card would have.
2. What is something you would like to keep on doing forever and a
day, but can't because it's bad for you
physically/emotionally/spiritually.
drink diet pop, I'm having to quit because I was spending too much on
it.
3. Do you have a hidden talent? Something obscure that you can do
pretty well but don't advertise?
Play piano or drums, but make up my own music, have never played for a
band or anything, except for sitting through a couple of songs once,
and at church a long time ago.
4. What about exercise. What do you do to keep fit? Or what would you
like to do if you weren't too damned depressed to do it?
Not much right now except for housework, but I used to go walking, or
do a video. Recently I've started to do my own exercise routine
5. Reality T.V. shows? Love 'em or hate 'em?
I liked the first one or two, but stopped watching because it all
seemed too staged, and it was getting more and more inappropriate.
6. If you could have anything named after yourself, or be known for
something famous what would it be?
Sometimes I come up with ideas that could make a new product, but I
don't think I would actually name it after myself.
7. Do you have a flair for decorating? What is one of your best ideas
for sprucing up a tired looking room.
Right now I use photos and fake house plants, and I can arrange
furniture in a way that's pleasing to most everyone.
8. What is your most hated house-hold chore? (Okay, you can have two
or three if you like) :)
Picking up after myself. Am trying to get out of this habit. It tends
to get worse under a lot of stress.
9. Are you afraid of dying? If so, why?
I have had some symptoms because of my illness that seem very
spiritual, but aren't necessarily true. It's nice to believe in
something though.
10. What is your favourite thing to do in order to relax and unwind?
Listen to new age or soothing music and meditate.

I play piano too David. What is your favourite piece?

I want to get some new Summer clothes for around the house. I also
want to look into buying some computer software that will help me with
my music theory. Something that is entertaining and fun to work with.
2. What is something you would like to keep on doing forever and a

Okay, well that would have to be eating junk food. I wish I was one of
those people that could eat whatever they liked and not put on an
ounce nor have it affect cholesterol and the like.
3. Do you have a hidden talent? Something obscure that you can do
pretty well but don't advertise?
Ummm... okay, you know those little musical balls that you roll around
in your hands? I can do that pretty quickly without the two of them
touching each other. I bought them originally for stress relief, but
I've found it keep my fingers agile for piano playing.
4. What about exercise. What do you do to keep fit? Or what would you

I like to walk a little each day. I would like to ride my bike and
swim but that comes into the too depressed to do it at the moment
section.
5. Reality T.V. shows? Love 'em or hate 'em?
Oh I'm guilty. I love 'em. I find them fascinating because I like to
observe what other people do and think under different circumstances.
6. If you could have anything named after yourself, or be known for
something famous what would it be?
A song. I would like to compose a beautiful song that moved people for
centuries to come.
7. Do you have a flair for decorating? What is one of your best ideas
for sprucing up a tired looking room.
Pfft :/ I'm not good at this, but I would say a nice paint job and
some jazzy cushions and some art on the wall.
8. What is your most hated house-hold chore? (Okay, you can have two
or three if you like) :)
Cooking at number one. Washing at number 2.
9. Are you afraid of dying? If so, why?
Yep, yes I am. The simple answer is that I am afraid of the unknown.
10. What is your favourite thing to do in order to relax and unwind?
I like the 'ol t.v. Reading of course is very relaxing, but cuddling
down in my bedroom with a good television programme and some nibbles
is my favourite way of relaxing. :)

Now someone with a dirty mind might say something about
you having balls in your hands.
