Object: Shopping
Well I had a much better day today then yesterday that's for sure.
My daughter and I went out shopping at about 11am today didn't get home
until around 8pm. We didn't spend a whole lot, just time with each other
and it was great. She really is my best friend.
Anyway, no luck on the puppy/dog mart. The dog we were interested in turned
out to be too big for what I am looking for so I'll keep looking.
I bought a new top and a book, we had lunch and got coffee at my favorite
Cuban coffee place. We had a pretty good day.

I keep the good looking chicks at home and do my shopping online.
I generally hate shopping for several reasons, the first being that I'm
of dimensions that make it impossible to find clothing in the stores.
Inseams are always too short (I need a 34) and when I usually find that
kind of length it's with something like a ridiculous 42 inch waist!
Shirts have to be an XL Tall and the tall section is usually really
limited in selection too.
So it's socks and underwear in the world of garments. Even shoes are
impossible. Before I was able to order online I would have to wander the
store and pick out the 3-4 pairs of shoes that are size 14 and then pick
from that. Now I can hop online and get any style I want!
So I'm just too strangely dimensioned to have any fun shopping for clothes
The rest of the stores in the mall aren't usually much interest. To be
fair though it has been quite a while since I've set foot in a mall. At
least a year probably.
There's also the whole crowd factor that makes it uncomfortable anxiety
wise, but not overwhelmingly so. One thing that I do notice is that the
instant I step into a mall I get very, very tired. I turn into one of
those guys who sits outside the shop halfway dozing off.

Not strange, you are a zing to my zang. I have to shop in the petites to
find clothes as I am 4' 11". the problem with that in order to be in
"fashion" the petites are usually womens clothes made smaller and I actually
look pretty funny in them. I don't understand why women's clothing just
can't be Junior Fashions made with hips, but noooo. It's ok for work mode,
but not pleasure mode or at home mode. So then I shop in Juniors, but then
I have to deal with the fact that most of the juniors clothes aren't made
for women who have hips, sooooo I end up buying a little bigger to fit adult
hips then the wastes are too big.
When hip huggers came back, I jumped for joy, the solution to my problems of
finding jeans, pants, shorts etc all worked themselves out, no more waste,
just fit the hips.

It took three malls before I felt comfortable, I have a bit of issue with
crowds too, nothing major, but one mall we spent all of five minutes in, I
couldn't wait to get out, then we went to the only mall locally I love,
really love, we spent two hours there, then we hit a few minor stores, in
and out too busy, had lunch, hit a few more stores (book stores) I love
book stores, anyway, then we went to one more mall, didn't stay to long
there either. Though we had more fun at the last mall, it's in the rich
neighborhoods, more variety of little stores, and my daughter and I giggled
our way around the mall looking at guys butts!!! I was being pretty
juvenile, but it got me out of my stupor so it was well worth scoring all
those butts.

I do like book stores too, I think that's largely because there's not
the big sense of everything wide open. I can hide away in the stack and
there are usually plenty of nice little corners to hide in. Especially
during off peak hours.

Well it's keeping me looking the same for twenty more years but I can't
imagine wearing what's in fashion in 20 years but then again, when I was 20
I never thought I'd be wearing what my daughter wears at 40 so who knows.

I do like book stores too, I think that's largely because there's not the

It's funny when I'm in a book store I'm almost in my own little world,
especially if there is a certain book I'm looking for, I don't even notice
anyone else. When I was there yesterday, I sat on the floor in front of the
book shelf and started reading excerpts from the books and just sort of
zoned out on the rest of the world... Yup book stores are my piece of
heaven.

This sounded like such a nice day Jane. You should do it often. I
really like these days with Maria too. I am trying to get her to go
see Nanny McFee with me but she thinks she is too old. I am the one who
is a 6 year old brat sometimes.
Good luck with dog.

Yeah I was bummed. I stopped at a pet store in the mall, just to look and
insulted the store clerk. They had the cutest puppies there of course, and
of course the kind of dog I'm looking for but for $900 - $1900 anyway, I say
to the clerk "So how does it feel profiting off the death of so many puppies
who become to crippled to be transferred here, when they're born and raised
in puppy mills." She got all defensive and I just stopped her and said,
"give me a break, you buy these poor puppies for about $100 each and sell
them for 10x the amount and pretend like you even give a ***** just to
profit." She asked me why I was even there, I told her, "To see what
puppies looked like that came from a puppy mill."
Then I left. I was sooooooooo pissed.

puke. i can't even go into petstores that sell dogs because i go
freaking crazy.
i'd be willing to pay that much for a dog, in the right circumstances,
but it would be from strong, well-known lines of dogs proven in the
show ring and the performance arena with several generations of health
certifications behind it. not a pup that grew up in a cage and thus
has no qualms about living in its own poop, with horrible health
problems that cost me a lot of money to fix.

Well unfortunately I couldn't pay that much for any animal. Buddy was

long ago and far away, "Jane" <jarsenal66nospam@hotmail.com> did say:

Well I had a much better day today then yesterday that's for sure.

My daughter and I went out shopping at about 11am today didn't get

home

until around 8pm. We didn't spend a whole lot, just time with each
other
and it was great. She really is my best friend.

Anyway, no luck on the puppy/dog mart. The dog we were interested in
turned
out to be too big for what I am looking for so I'll keep looking.

I bought a new top and a book, we had lunch and got coffee at my
favorite
Cuban coffee place. We had a pretty good day.

sounds good. i went dog shopping with my best friend. all of the dogs
she liked were bad choices for her and all the dogs that were good
choices for her, she didn't like.

i could have brought home a half dozen of my own, of course. my
requirements are a bit different than hers ;)

Yeah I was bummed. I stopped at a pet store in the mall, just to look

and

insulted the store clerk. They had the cutest puppies there of course,
and
of course the kind of dog I'm looking for but for $900 - $1900 anyway, I
say
to the clerk "So how does it feel profiting off the death of so many
puppies
who become to crippled to be transferred here, when they're born and
raised
in puppy mills." She got all defensive and I just stopped her and said,
"give me a break, you buy these poor puppies for about $100 each and

sell

them for 10x the amount and pretend like you even give a ***** just to
profit." She asked me why I was even there, I told her, "To see what
puppies looked like that came from a puppy mill."

Buddy was
350.00 first dog I ever bought and it was long before I knew about puppy
mills and I bought him from a pet store like that one and he's not pure
bread, I'd never do it again.

I had a St Bernard that got so big we could stand face to face ,
he weighed 250 pounds and while I was away on a weekend fishing ,
my dad gave him to my cousin cause he had a big farm ,
the dog went nuts without me they had to put it down ,
they told me he got hit by a car , even though he'd .
likely be dead of old age now , i miss him and the time we could've had ,
he had a keg around his neck , i kept my dope in it ,
the cops never dared look

his name was , " Branson " he was a purebred ,
did you know purebreds have to have original names ,
or be called for example , Jane The Second , Third ( ect )
well in Canada they do , all purebreds need an original name ,
or they get a number , yea , I was 15 when dad did that ,
I left home just after , the keg saved my ***** ... a lot ,
sometimes the cops threatened to shoot him because ,

I had one purebred dog, his name was Kodiak Arsenal. There were other
Kodiak's so I gave him my last name in order to have an "original" name and
I think that is quite common here in the states. He was/is an Alaskan
malamute. When I was in the hospital giving birth to my daughter, someone
stole him from his outside kennel, took him, his food and water dish and his
shelter. I still think my daughters father had something to do with it, but
he said he didn't.
