Well, that huge winter weather front finally moved through here starting a
couple of hours ago and it's snowing. After predicting up to 6 inches for
days, it now looks like we'll only get about 1 inch or so. Sometimes it's
nice when the forecasters turn out to be wrong.
It's snowing slowly and without much wind. The pretty kind of snow. It's
easier to call snow pretty when you don't have to drive in it. I hate snow.
And we've lost 10 degrees and still counting, now 19. Single digits and
negative windchills tomorrow night.

We have escaped the worst of winter so far this season but our luck couldn't
hold forever. After one of the warmest Decembers on record, we're overdue
for some snow and cold. Hopefully it will come in small doses with breaks
in-between.

three days, and nobody is getting out that much. On Sunday they were talking
of setting up shelters around for those without electricity. I am in
Oklahoma.

We just missed the worst of the ice storm I think. They salted the streets
starting yesterday and that seemed to help. That and the very light traffic
due to the holiday.

they said we'd have snow today. it didn't happen, just rain. i
hope they got some snow in the northeast ski areas. they've been
really hurting this year.

It rained here for most of the day before it finally changed to snow. They
predicted up to an inch but it doesn't look like we'll get even that. Just
