Object: snow day!
i called off work on account of the snow before it even started
falling. they're calling for 8-10" here.
i went in last thursday night when we got 8" and the roads were so
fucking bad. usually i don't mind driving in snow, but i was probably
as scared as i've ever been. it's a 25 mile drive, usually takes me
about 40 minutes. it took me almost twice that on thursday.
i left a smartass note on my boss's desk saying "i get a bonus for
coming in tonight, right?" thinking no way it'd ever happen but when i
talked to him this morning he said he did bonus me for last week.
score!
puppies, hot cocoa, slightly stale peeps. now all i need is a good
book.

The only bad thing about being retired is that one loses the thrill of
an unexpected holiday for a snow day.
Since these days I walk pretty well everywhere in this small Vermont
town, this afternoon I am walking to the library in this latest snow
storm to tutor an adult college student.
{Ummm, the library is just around the corner from where I live! Don't
want you to feel too sorry for me LOL}}

puppies, nope don't have, large hyperactive golden: check, hot cocoa
sounds nice....and I have books...think I'm going to read Stardust again
(neil gaiman)... nothing like a cup of hot cocoa, a nice book laying in
bed, with a large dog keeping your feet warm... yup... sounds like a plan...
Especially since it's snowing here aswell.. I mean I seriously belived
that spring was coming (we've had snow on and off all winter) since the
last two weeks has been nothing but light clouds and sun... boy was I
surprised.
good going in the bonus thing... always nice when something like that
happens...

I agree, but can't find a way to actually put it in the header
(thunderbird) so if anyone has a clue how to do this, please let me know :)

weeks ago - rural road, no lights, I turned around and came back home, I was
TERRIFIED and boy, was boy ever mad at me.
