Object: So I had to take taking Cymbalta
after 3 weeks because it was making my depression and anxiety both much
worse (I have funny reactions to drugs). I feel better already after a
couple of days off but here I am wide awake at 12:30 on the West coast with
a funny feeling that I may go to bed as the sun comes up. One thing that
drug did do for me (again, I have funny reactions to drugs) was straighten
out a bad sleeping disorder in about 2 days flat.
I'm working on a radio station on Yahoo - you can create your own (with
Launchcast plus) and then have it migrate toward your tastes by rating the
songs, artists, albums, genres. Mine is getting there. If you want to listen
to it go to launch.yahoo.com. Under the Launchcast Radio tab, select "radio
station guide" and go all the way to the bottom and type "zenbones2001" into
the search box. That's my station. No Buddhist music, sorry Bev. You might
need to download the launchcast player.
Those born 1950 to 1965 should like this (?). Little bit of everything. Ten
Years After, Country, Jazz ... but it kinda works together. It's getting
better as time goes on and I rate more songs.
Most everything is free with regular launchcast. Launchcast Plus is
definitely worth the money - higher audio quality, ability to hear more
stations and customize your own, etc. It's nice to have your very own
station where you are pretty sure you are not going to really hate anything
and you will probably hear a lot of things you really like. It also goes
outside of songs you have rated, so introduces you to other performers who
you might like. Quite cool, I can spend hours on the headphones with this
.... hearing a lot of memory floggers.
Comments welcomed. Maybe this can be the official depressed and up in the
middle of the night radio station for the boomer crowd.
There is a buffering gap between songs - I actually find this nice. But you
do need broadband.

Sounds good! Well, the idea sounds good.
I haven't managed to actually get in
there and find it and listen. But I want to.

It's a little addictive. I'm loving it because I used to really enjoy music
and stopped listening to it. With this, you sort of have to babysit it to
keep it from wandering off in the wrong direction - you have to keep rating
those songs to keep it on track. so I'm hearing a lot of good music. It's
nice. Best thing I've come across on the Internet so far - and I've spent a
lot of time on the net.
Also it keeps popping up with new stuff (2000 to 2005) in the same genres -
some of it I really like. So, as others point out, it is a way of getting up
to speed on the newer music. Some of it I rate fairly highly.
I think this is a direct link, but it's hard for me to tell on my own
machine.

Thanks U2B. Feeling ok today. Hope you are doing ok, esp with the preschool
stuff added on top. I've got a lot to do over the next couple of weeks (not
as much as you) and I'm feeling fairly overwhelmed by it. I'm hopeful that
today is the day I cut through a good chunk of it so I can stress less.
The music is great. It's like that part of me died and has now come back to
life.
