so i walked over to the bar |
this is unusual for me. i knew i wouldn;t be having much to drink, so i
boosted what i would have, with 1 klonny.
then i walked over to the BAR that is actually part of my subdivision, which
is really weird to me. never seen a BAR in a subdivision before. until i
moved here. anyway, i walk down there. ive been there before, but never
had a drink there.
i droped my ID and couple bucks on the counter, asked for an MGD lite...they
were out, so settled for a bud......
sat over on one of the high chair next to the pool table, watch some other
dudes playing pool. put a couple bucks into the jukebox. picked some songs
i like.. had my beer, over a half hour or 40 min, or whatever, and walked
home. yes, i needed to get out of the house and chill out for a few
minutes. numb the stress of today.
i feel ok. but not great. just ok.

I got a bar about 4 blocks away, but bars are expensive, and the cops are
often there, because people get drunk and kill each other there. I dont
know why, because crime is very low here, except for that.

the bar near me is like 2 blocks away or less (its difficult to measure
blocks, like city blocks, in the burbs) If i stand on my street in front of
my front yard, i can see all the bikers bikes parked there. it doesnt seem
to ever get violent there AFAIK, or even that loud. just a nice little bar,
but i dont actually know it very well, so who knows. never heard anything
happened there, and i didnt feel scared walking over there, walking in.
Afterall, it's in MY subdivision. i'm a resident, so, it's not like i'm away
from my reasonably-safe neighborhood. yeah, bars are expensive... $2.25 for
a domestic bottle of beer, which might not be that expensive for a bar , but
expensive compared to picking up beer from the grocery or even liquor
store....which i almost never do since i usually don't like alcohal. i have
some maybe
4-5 times a year.

I like to go to dive bars and hob nob with the bikers. It's a pitty I
can't go anymore. The cops took my ID so I can't drink.
