So I'm Glad (sp: dying, no, i'm not dying and men. of blood) |
OK. So for the first time I'm glad I'm at my parents house. I know
I'm not around here at asd often so I don't know if I've posted this
before but my dad is dying.
Last June he had a heart attack. Before they could do his multiple
bypass surgeries though they had to clear his carotid arteries. One
was 100% blocked so they could do nothing about that... apparently
opening it could cause a stroke by allowing parts of his brain that
have been oxygen deprived to have blood and the other was 80%. They
opened up the 80% but my father found out last week that it was now
close to 100% closed and the only way his brain is getting blood is
through capillaries.
The dye they used after his heart attack caused irreversible damage to
his kidneys so on Monday he is going into sugery to have a fistula put
into his arm and start his dialysis next week. He also has diabetes.
Now... where did all this come from, right? My mother just took my dad
back to the ER at the cardiac center. i've been doing everything
around the house. Today I built the fertilizer spreader for behind his
ride on mower. Yesterday I built the sweeper and the hopper for behind
his mower. After he mowed and swept the lawn I would clean out the
grass. This last time my mom sent me to the store for bread. Before I
even got out of the car my phone rang. My dad had turned a fallen
trying to empty the grass from the hopper and they had to go to the ER.
Now I've cleaned up all the grass and put the mower away and I've
changed clothes and cleaned the blood off the ground, garbage cans and
walls so my daughter won't see it.
Anyhow, so how is everyone elses day?
