..it's wonderful.. ..ds is at still at his grandma's, and she wants to keep
him another night..

I'm all for it. It's so nice to have a day to myself, to just listen to the
................... (quiet), lie down with a book. nurse this hangover...
...which isn't so bad.. ..considering I got into the Merlot late last
night..

M's parents invited me for supper tonight, but I regretfully declined.. ..I
just need to be alone right now.. ..the kids really took it out of me
yesterday (before my b-day thing).. ..fighting over toys and ds whining
non-stop because his brother overpowers most of the decisions regarding
toys. the older brother chattering away *constantly* despite anything going
on around him, (ds could be shreiking in horror in a pool of blood, and he'd
be right in there - oblivious that anything is wrong - loudly interjecting
stories about his school-friends' transformers, or whining for me to beat
some all-important level in mario for him)..

anyway.. ..M's bringing me over a cherry cheescake she made for my b-day..
..my favourite! I miss her cooking/baking.. (that's all I ate this summer
while treeplanting - she was camp cook) ..she can be really sweet
sometimes.. ..she even gave me flowers yesterday. yellow daffodils.. ..I
don't think anyone's ever gotten me flowers before.. ..she's full of
quirky little surprises lately..

well, I'm just letting some wind out.. ..back to the couch to read..
