At nine o'clock on BBC4 there's a programme on the non-canonical gospels
which should be worth watching.

You're missing it.
I watched it. It would have made a good radio programme, and a good
travelogue with a different voice-over. The TV didn't do much for it,
apart from the murals in the Roman catacombs.
Interesting, though: a different view on the creation and need for
orthodoxy from those I've come across before.
