but i type with one finger and i get bored
This is how I learned to type; There was a job opening at the
local newspaper, in the classified department. So, needing a job, and
going through a 'confident' phase, (short lived), I decided that would
be a fun job to have. So, I went and applied. When she asked me if I
could type, I said, "Sure!". Getting any job I applied for was most
often a given, IF I had an interview with the one doing the hiring, in
person. So, I got the job.
Well, I couldn't type a word. So, I got myself a book on how to
type, went to the library, since I didn't have a typewriter nor
keyboard, and I practice for two hours every day for two weeks, up to
the day the job would start. It really isn't that hard to learn. And
it's kind of fun, once you get your fingers to work.
Of course, not having the experience of years of typing yet, to keep
up with the ads coming in over the phone, I didn't last too long at that
position But it was an experience. Actually, I was so relieved when I
got fired. I knew I was in over my head; and more importantly, the
other women who I worked around were not very nice. Very 'cliquy' and
snobby.
Which caused too much stress. IIt's very hard to be around ppl who
lthink they are 'something'.

Why not make it a goal? There are plenty of good, free 'learn to type'
programmes out there. :)
