Not me, but there's proper research that says it works. However, it also
has side effects and interacts with certain prescription meds. Consult a
doctor.

Germany.
"St. John's wort is used eight to one over standard antidepressants in
Germany. In Germany, physicians prescribed over 66 million daily doses of
St. John's wort in 1994."
I'm sure you meant anyone here but I wonder if there are any studies from
Germany about it's effectiveness?

Yes. And it works pretty well for me, though, as for everything YMMV.
