Object: steps, feet, out of sorts
walked about 5 miles today (in two walks) and I was
fine.
then I come home and get out of sorts with the steps
out of the subway. as in, I ride two extra stops and
then back again to avoid some of them.
got to figure this one out. it's too annoying.

C, it almost sounds like an OCD thing. Do you feel like you have to
avoid certain stops or sets of steps?
I used to hate the subway. Back when I was in High School, there was a
rash of people pushing other people in fromt of the trains. It used to
really freak me out.

no its a fatigue thing. the last stop has nice big staircases,
and it is new and clean, and always ppl are there, and there's
cameras etc.
I don't avoid the station, but going back inbound cuts
out a flight of steps. I don't understand why the steps
are such a thing when I can walk a long while.

Hi Contrarian,
If your subway is like our tubes, what's to figure?
I don't mind using the underground but I never feel 'natural' as I
enter/exit via the steps; for me, it's being part of the flow of
automatons.
You ever tried *smiling* at the people going the other way?
Exactly :-)
